Cynthia "Cindy" Spielmann

Cynthia ‘Cindy" S. Spielmann, 70, of Freeport, IL passed away Monday August 29, 2022 at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL, with her family by her side. She was born June 28, 1952 in Freeport, IL, the daughter of C. Laverne and Kathryn (Fisher) Baylor. Cindy worked at General Casualty in Freeport as an Insurance Underwriter for over 30 years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, and observing wildlife. Cindy is survived by her sons, Michael (Kelly) Spielmann of Davenport, IA and Matthew (Ashley) Spielmann of Freeport, IL; two sisters, Patricia (Glen) Daigger of Ann Arbor, MI and Cathy Prescott (Widowed) of Rockford, IL; and six grandchildren, Sawyer, Hudson, Kendall, Elise, Hayden and Madelyn. Cindy was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday September 7, 2022 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. Visitation will be from noon until the time of service.
