Curt Dale

Curtis Dale, 58, of Freeport, died Friday, April 24, 2015 at FHN Memorial Hospital. Born on June 21, 1956 in Monroe, Wisconsin, the son of Nathan and Sonja (Engebretson) Dale. Curt was a contractor and owned his own construction and fencing company. He enjoyed fishing, boating, time in Wisconsin, old westerns, horse shoes and was an avid Billy Idol and Chicago Bears fan. Survivors include his son, Nathan (Dawn) Dale of Cedarville and his daughter Jessica Dale of Freeport. Curt's girlfriend, Deb Marcum of Freeport; her son, Brad (Heidi) Marcum of Loves Park and her daughter Laurie Birchell of Kenosha, WI. Four brothers, Craig (Chris) Dale of Freeport, Chris (Jean) Engel of Freeport, Cory (Jamie) Engel of Freeport and Chad (Teresa) Engel of Oregon, IL; four grandchildren, Addison, Trent, Ivy and Brixen; stepfather, Billy Engel, and his special pet, Snarfy. Preceded in death by his parents and two twin sisters, Pamela and Tamela. Funeral services will be Thursday 10:00 a.m. at Cedarville United Methodist Church. Pastor Gavin Brandt will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m. at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his memory.
