Cora Beatrice Weaver

Cora Beatrice Weaver, 103, of Freeport, passed away, Thursday November 21, 2024, at Parkview Home. Cora was born February 4, 1921 in Freeport, the daughter of Calvin and Mable (Hutmacher) Young. She married George J. Weaver January 11, 1941, in Dubuque, Iowa. Mr. Weaver passed away December 19, 2009. Cora was a 1939 graduate of Freeport High School. Mrs. Weaver attended Park Hills Evangelical Free Church, Freeport.

Surviving are two sons, Calvin (Eleanor) Weaver of Rockford and David Weaver of Freeport; also surviving are many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Cora was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, Thomas and Richard Weaver; and brother, Francis Young;

Cora's family would like to thank Parkview Home for the exceptional care they showed their loved one these last six years.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday November 26, 2024 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. Visitation 1:00 pm until the time of service. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established in Cora’s memory.
