Cody A. Neubauer, 17, of Freeport, died Wednesday June 17, 2015 at University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, WI. He was born October 22, 1997 in Freeport, IL. Cody would have been a senior at Freeport High School in the upcoming fall. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church. He enjoyed camping, singing karaoke, playing jokes on people as he was quite the prankster, and was a fan of NASCAR especially Jeff Gordon. Cody is survived by his mother Tracy (Chuck) Nugent of... Freeport, IL; one brother Jason(Janelle) Nelson and their son Ryan of Freeport, IL; three sisters Elizabeth Nelson, Samantha Nugent, and Haley Nugent all of Freeport, IL; and grandparents Donna and Michael Saxby, and Sandra Nugent all of Freeport, IL. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday June 25, 2015 at Faith United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 3:00-7:00 P.M. Wednesday at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his memory.
