Clifford Paul Wilken

Clifford Paul Wilken, 73, of Freeport, passed away June 21, 2024. Clifford was born June 4, 1951,to Dick and Eleanor Wilken. He married Beth Ann (Franklin) Wilken on January 16, 1993. Cliff served in the US ARMY as an MP in Germany. Cliff worked at Honeywell as a machinist, where he was a team leader for many years. He enjoyed vacationing in Sanibel Island, Florida, and shelling with his beloved wife, Beth. Cliff was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. He also loved cheering on his brother, Richard from the stands when Richard played high school baseball. That’s when Cliff’s love of baseball began.

Surviving is his wife, Beth Wilken of Freeport; mother-in-law, Marilyn Shay; brother Richard (Mary) Wilken; step-daughter, Heather Franklin; step-grandchildren, Logen Foley, MaKenzie Foley, and Wyatt Foley; nieces, Tami Wilken, Christine (Paul) Bretz, Emily Marcum, Jillane (Jason) Fransen; and great- nieces, Daniel Bretz, Boden Fransen, and Asher Fransen.

Preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, brother-in-law, Michal Marcum and many aunts and uncles. Cliff would like to be remembered by so many memories and the impact he left on others.

Per Cliff’s wishes no services will be scheduled. Burial of cremains will be Tuesday July 2, 2024 at Cranes Grove Cemetery.
