Clesta Eunice Williams, 80, of Freeport, IL., transitioned from her earthly life on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at home surrounded by her family. Clesta was born September 20, 1935 in Carrier Mills, Illinois the daughter of Ward and Lillian (Lyles) Cole. Clesta received her formal education in Carrier Mills, Illinois. Clesta professed Christ as her personal Savior at a young age, she devoted her life to being a good and faithful servant, willingly working in any capacity to serve the Lord. She became a member of First Church of God later becoming a member of Way to Life and Abundant Life, when she could no longer attend church services due to her health she followed Jimmy Swaggart Ministries. Clesta married W.C. Williams in November of 1957 they were blessed to spend fifty two years together. Clesta worked for many years for various factories Burgess Battery, Structo, and Micro Switch before pursuing her dream of having her own business, she went on to further her career goals and became a licensed child care provider and the proud owner of Clesta's Daycare where she not only took care of children but she educated mothers on taking care of their families, she also was the co-owner of the Sweet Shop Bakery in Freeport. Clesta loved cooking, crocheting, playing the piano and taking care of her family, but most of all she loved God. Clesta leaves to celebrate her home going and cherish her memories, three sons: Dean (Mary) Scott of Woodstock Georgia, Tommie Williams of Del City Oklahoma, Carthan (Charlotte) Willaims of Tulsa, Oklahoma; ten daughters: Vesta (Robert) Bush, Lola (Gearl) Leeper, Kathleen Williams, Cecelia (Michael) Stacy, Jacquline (Trenice) Morgan all of Freeport, Illinois, Delores Williams of Racine, Wisconsin, Donita Williams, Mary Pearl (William) Brown both of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Willie Mae Carter of Gary, Indiana, Geraldine (Gregory) Williamson Sr. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, one sister: Claretta Williams of Carrier Mills, Illinois special granddaughter whom she raised Doretha Ann Turner of Hawthorne, California, forty grandchildren, seventy five great grandchildren, four sister in-laws: Viola Cole, VeElla Hughes, Erma Cole, Clydie Hughes and brother in-law Sammie Hughes, special friend and neighbor Jerline Turner, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and other friends. She was preceded in death by her husband W.C. Williams, parents Ward and Lillian Cole, one son Wayne Williams, grandson Damien Williams, six brothers: Clyde, Issac, David, James, Cecil, and Clifford, four sisters: Gladys, Mary, Nida and Lula. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, September 23, 2016 at St. James CME Church with a visitation from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
