Christine O. Bell

Christine Odelia Bell, 86, of Freeport, IL left this earthly life on Tuesday January 9, 2019 at her home surrounded by her children. She was born October 14, 1932 in Galva, IL to the parents of Cleveland and Cleota Warden. She was a CNA for many years. She was also an avid church goer. She served as a musician at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Tommie Robinson. She was also an usher for many years at Mt. Calvary COGIC. She served on the Mother's board at Mt. Calvary COGIC and at St. Paul COGIC in Rockford, IL. Her hobbies included gardening, crocheting, mending clothing, and reviving plants. She is survived by her children, Larry (Melody) Warden of Waycross, GA, Deborah (Meeksy) Moore of Freeport, Carlton (Bugsy) Baker Jr. of Snellville, GA, Rodney Baker of Rockford, IL, Judy Baker of Freeport, Kimberly (Lucius) Jones of Freeport, IL. Dorcus (Onci) Isaac of Kansas City, MO, Terri Baker of Freeport, and Adrienne (Munchie) Baker of Buxton, ND. 31 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A sister in law Betty Barr and daughter in law LaFrancine Baker. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Carlton V. Baker Sr. and her second husband, Tom Bell. Her son, Kevin Baker Sr. and grandson Avari Baker. Her siblings Harold Warden, Kenneth Warden, Leonard Warden, Donald Warden, Howard Warden, Calvin Warden, Irmadene Jones, Geraldine Warden, Hattie (Maxine) Conel, and Betty (Mary) Thomas. Mother Christine Bell will be missed by all who loved and knew her. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday January 16, 2019 at Mt. Calvary Church of God in Christ in Freeport with Dr. Charles Washington officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will be in Mt.
