Chiyoko Dirksen

Chiyoko Dirksen, 79, of German Valley, died, Sunday August 18, 2013 in Manor Court of Liberty Village, Freeport. Chiyoko was born on March 20, 1934 in Japan the daughter of Fusako Yokoyama. Chiyoko worked at F.H.N. Memorial Hospital where she was a C.N.A. Chiyoko married John R. Dirksen in Japan on August 6, 1953. Mr. Dirksen died on December 1, 1981. Chiyoko loved animals and all of her family. Surviving are son, Jan (Mary) Dirksen of Fort Atkinson, WI; daughter, Reiko (Ron) Kilker of Buffalo Grove; brother, Tado Hirano of Japan; four grandchildren, Joshua (Christina) Kilker, Sara Kilker, Holly Dirksen and Laura (Justin) Perkins; seven great-grandchildren, Miyah, Ryann, Jacob, Brayden, Jayda, Aaliyah and Mikayla. Also surviving is a special friend Jim Becker. Chiyoko was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home, Forreston. Visitation will be Wednesday 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. also at Burke Tubbs in Forreston.
