Cheryl Ann Vogt

Cheryl Ann Vogt, 66, of Freeport, died Saturday, July 28, 2018, with her loving family surrounding her. Cheryl was born January 10, 1952 in Cumberland, Maryland, the daughter of James F. and Audrey M. (Conner) Twigg Sr. She married William J. Vogt on April 19, 1992. Cheryl worked alongside her dad for many years at J. F. Twigg Accounting and Tax Services. She also worked for Freeport Verizon Communications. Cheryl was a huge Elvis fan and enjoyed collecting his memorabilia. In her free time she liked listening to Country Music and watching movies. Surviving are her husband, William J. Vogt of Freeport; daughters, Tawney (Steven) Beck of Freeport and Tina (Dan) Riggle of Dakota; two sons, Christopher Winters of Rockford and Chad (Kristen) Winters of Chicago; seven grandchildren, Joshua (Kelsey) Kostenbader, Jessica (Clay) Britton, Dylan Riggle, Dalton Riggle, Miles Winters, Audrey Winters, and Catileya Winters; three great-grandchildren, Ellaina, Payton, and Kayslee Kostenbader; and special friend, Tommy May of Freeport. Also surviving are many stepchildren, step-grandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren. Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Jim Twigg Jr. and Timothy Twigg. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday August 2, 2018 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
