Cherlynn J. Reid

Cherlynn J. Reid, 72, of Las Vegas, NV, formerly of Freeport, IL passed away June 11, 2023 with her family by her side. She was born February 23, 1951 in Freeport, IL to Arthur and Dorothy (Allen) Ross. Cherlynn married Marvin Reid on May 13, 2005 in North Las Vegas, NV. Her employment included Honeywell in Freeport and the U.S. government where she eventually retired from. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family, especially her grand kids and great grand kids.

She is survived by her husband Marvin Reid of North Las Vegas, NV; two sons Jason (Stacy) Cain of Freeport, IL and Chris Cain of Freeport, IL; three brothers, six sisters; four grandchildren Breauna (Erek), Brittani, Zamir, and Naji; four great-grandchildren Britton, Braylon, Erek Jr., and Ereauna; a host of nieces and nephews; and her dog Jenna.

Preceding Cherlynn in death are her parents; three brothers Craig, Gary, and Douglas, nephew Adam Ross, niece Kendra, and her special dog Coco.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A private family service will be held at the Chapel of Peace at Chapel Hill memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established in her memory.
