Charles S. Lamm, 74, of Freeport, died Monday May 2, 2016 at Stephenson Nursing Center in Freeport. He was born March 24, 1942 in Freeport, IL, the son of Oscar and Genevieve (McCord) Lamm Sr. He married Regina Eberle September 16, 1972 in Freeport, IL. Charles worked at Civil Construction for thirty years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in Vietnam from 1966-1968. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and playing cards. Charles is survived by his wife Regina Lamm of Freeport, IL; his son Chad (Erin) Lamm of Freeport, IL; five brothers Gerald "Jerry" Lamm of Hull, MA, Fred "Butch" (Barb) Lamm of Cedarville, IL, Richard (Brenda) Lamm, Bob (Kathy) Lamm, and Duane (Denise) Lamm all of Freeport, IL; three sisters Bea Henderson of Crest View, FL, Avis Kutzke of McConnell, IL, and Debbie Lamm of Freeport, IL, his granddaughter Ellen Elizabeth Lamm, and his special companion Curly Joe. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Oscar Lamm Jr. and Theodore "Skip Lamm Sr.; and four sisters Pat Maggard, Vicki Lamm, Linda Lamm, and Dixie Lamm. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday May 6, 2016 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport with Rev. Diane Jochum officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at Burke-Tubbs in Freeport. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
