Charles J Wittenmeyer

Charles J. Wittenmeyer, 67, of Monroe, formerly of Freeport, died Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at the Monroe Manor. He was born on April 7, 1946 in Freeport, the son of James and Alverta (Plowman) Wittenmeyer. Charles was a truck driver for 14 and half years. He married Kathy Hubbard in Freeport on November 17, 1979. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Charles W. (Joyce) Wittenmeyer of Carol Stream, IL and David (Wittenmeyer) of Freeport, also two grandchildren Hope and Chase. Preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Christine, one brother and one sister. Funeral services will be Monday 11 a.m. at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home. Rev. Dr. Willis Schwichtenberg, associate pastor will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
