Charles "Charlie" F. Saeger

Charles "Charlie" F. Saeger, 67, of Freeport, died Friday, October 9, 2015 in his home. Charlie was born on September 11, 1948, in Freeport, the son of Charles and Evangeline (Marassa) Saeger. Charlie was an U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War. On April 16, 1983 Charlie married Beth A. Brechtel in Freeport. He worked at Modern Plating for 37 years. Surviving are his wife, Beth Saeger of Freeport; three sons, Jeremy S. Saeger, Les Hayenga, and Gene Hayenga Jr.; two daughters, Peggy Hayenga and Tracy Saeger; and one sister, Carol. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services will be 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday October 14, 2015 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at Burke Tubbs. Burial will take place at a later date in Grandview Cemetery.
