Chantal Lynn Seward

Chantal Lynn Seward, 42, of Freeport died Monday, December 19 at Agrace Hospice Center, Madison, Wisconsin following a short battle cancer. She was born August 7, 1969 in Wynne, Arkansas the daughter of David and Dorothy ( Crawford) Seward. Chantal was a graduate of Wynne High School. Chantal was a active member of Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church. She served as a nurse aid and pastoral aid member. Chantal served as president of the Amity Parent Advisory Council for the past four years. Ms. Seward was employed by Honeywell and served in Army National Guard for six years. Chantal loved children. Her four were her pride and joy. She leaves to cherish her memories; Jansa, Jada, Carl and Andrew. Her step-sister, Betty Seward of St. Louis, Mo. Her grandmother, James Anna Crawford of Wynne, Arkansas. Seven aunts; Betty Clark, Verna Wade, Janice (Donald) Thompson all of Freeport. Lena (Jeff) Warrens, Brenda (Aaron) McGill of Wynne, Arkansas, Shirley Byndon of Forrest City, Arkansas and Carolyn Seward of St. Louis, Mo. Nine uncles; Frank (Gloria) Crawford, Bill (Barbara) Crawford and Harvey Crawford of Freeport. James Crawford of Aurora, Illinois. Willie (Louise) Crawford, Jr. of Forrest City, Arkansas. Dale Wayne ( Rhonda) Crawford of Marion, Arkansas, Casey (Angela) Crawford of Wynne, Arkansas, Leon Seward of St. Louis, Mo, and Theotis Seward of Michigan. Also, a host of other relatives and special loving friends. Chantal was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, Ozener and Mike Seward and Willie Crawford, Sr. 'We love her but God loved her more' Funeral services for Chantal will be Tuesday, 1:00 P.M. in Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, Freeport. Rev. Charles Threadgill, pastor, will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at the church.
