Carolyn Shelby Janicke

Carolyn S. Janicke, 79, of Baileyville, died Thursday, February 9, 2017 in her home. Carolyn was born February 19, 1937 in Freeport, the daughter of Henry and Marie (Kampmeier) Cornelius. She was a member of Richland Free Methodist Church. Carolyn was a homemaker and a housewife. Surviving are three daughters, Jeanette Long of Fair Grove, MO., Janine Long Freeport, and Jodi Janicke of Freeport; three brothers, Richard (Connie) Cornelius of Baileyville, and Laurence (Vicky) Cornelius of Shannon, and Randall (Mary) Cornelius of German Valley; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Carolyn was preceded in death by parents, three husbands, and two sons. Private family services will be held. Visitation will be 1:00 P.M. - 3:00 P.M. Sunday February 12, 2017 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home, Freeport. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Carolyn's memory.
