Carolyn P. Moyer

Carolyn P. Moyer, 95, of Freeport passed away Monday January 25, 2021 at Parkview Home in Freeport, IL. She was born December 17, 1925 near Florence Station, IL to Walter and Alvina (Koertner) Kaiser. On February 7, 1946 she married Robert D. Moyer at St. John United Church of Christ in Freeport. Robert passed away April 28, 2004. Carolyn was a cook at Freeport Junior High School and Micro Switch Cafeteria. She took great pride in being a lifelong member of St. John United Church of Christ in Freeport. Carolyn enjoyed cooking, sewing, camping, dancing, and helping others with her church lady friends. She also found great joy when she was surrounded by children. She is survived by her three children Connie (Edward) Orde of Freeport, Jeffrey (Ellie) Moyer of Monroe, WI, and Marsha (Larry) Boll of Freeport; five grandchildren Kristin (Trent) Rademaker, Lisa (Jason) Knox, Jessy (Chad McNeil) Moyer, Regan (Julie) Boll, and Elizabeth (Matt) Smith; six great-grandchildren Adam Orde, Tyler Rademaker Brittany Anne Knox, Nolan Knox, Meadow Smith, and Autumn Smith; two step-great-grandchildren Whitney (Andrew) Bower, and Chelsea Rademaker; and step-great-great-grandchildren McKenna and Kinley Bower. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers Alvin, Glennen, Harold, and Robert, and grandson-in-law Chad McNeil. A walkthrough visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00 A.M. Friday January 29, 2021 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home. A private family service will follow. Social distancing and face masks will be required. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established in her memory.
