It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carolyn Mae Webb on December 26, 2024, at the age of 74. Carolyn was born on September 4, 1950 in Northlake, IL to Warren and Glenna (Peterson) Noelte. Carolyn is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Robert Webb, her daughter Beth Maskell, son in law Paul Maskell, son Kyle Webb, daughter in law Kathleen Webb, two granddaughters Grace & Reese Maskell, and two sisters Sharon (John) Harvey and Deborah (Bernard) Stellar. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Marilyn Newcomer, and both her parents.
Carolyn was a member of the National Honor Society and worked in customer service throughout her life, working in different capacities from the Department of Defense to a community medical practice. Her colleagues knew her as kind, dedicated, and always willing to go above and beyond.
Carolyn cared for nothing more than she did for her family. She dedicated many years to her children as a stay-at-home mom, creating precious memories that will carry forward. Carolyn thrived as a grandmother ensuring her granddaughters were nothing short of spoiled and happy. Carolyn and Robert's love was filled with many adventures including her love for fishing. Surprisingly despite being unable to bait a hook, she always caught the biggest fish. She also loved boat rides and riding on an ATV which was her most favorite activity through her final days. Carolyn's sisters remember her as a sweet, kind, precious soul whom they will always love.
Carolyn had a long-standing admiration for the Native American community, embracing culture through pow wows and arts. Upon retirement, Carolyn volunteered at the Mt. Calvary Church of God food pantry for over ten years and crocheted hundreds of blankets for pregnant mothers in need.
"It's hard to forget someone who gave us so much to remember". Carolyn will forever be admired for the kind, strong willed, and loving woman she was.
Friends and family are invited to say a final goodbye at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home located at 504 N. Walnut Ave in Freeport, IL on January 2nd. Visitation will begin at 10:30am, with service at noon. Following the service Carolyn will be taken to her final resting place at Oakland Cemetery located at 2619 W. Pearl City Rd in Freeport.
