Carolyn Day

Carolyn S. Day, 74, of Forreston, died Friday, December 27, 2013 in her home. She was born on April 15, 1939 in Green Co., IN., the daughter of Paul and Pauline (Flory) Halderman. Carolyn worked for Groenewold Fur and Wool in Forreston. She married Jim Day on June 7, 1960 in Bloomfield, IN. Carolyn attended Baileyville Baptist Church. Family and Church were very important parts of her life. Survivors include her husband, Jim Day of Forreston; three sons, Ronnie (Veronica) Day of Bloomfield, IN., Tom Day of Leaf River and Donnie Day of Forreston; one brother, Ed (Kay) Halderman of Glenn Terrace, GA; one sister, Teresa (Rich) Parr of Bloomfield, IN; one sister in law, Ruthaan Wells of Martinsville, IN; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Phyllis Kemp and one great grandchild, Jairus Koontz. Memorial service will be Monday 1:30 p.m. at Baileyville Baptist Church. Rev. Alan Cassel will officiate. Visitation will be from noon until the time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in her name.
