Carolyn Armour

Carolyn Armour, 83, of Forreston, died Tuesday November 28, 2017 in her home. Carolyn was born October 17, 1934 in Freeport, the daughter of George A. and Iva R. (Moring) Manus. She married Richard L. Armour, to this union they were blessed with five children. She then married Darrow W. Moats. Mr. Moats passed away in 2008. She was a member of Prairie Dell Presbyterian Church. Carolyn was very artistic and skilled at designing. She alongside her husband, Richard, farmed in the Stillman Valley area for many years. Surviving are sons, Gary L. Armour of Rockford; four daughters, Cynthia (Richard) Chudoba of Chana, Sherry (Curt) Werckle of Stillman Valley, Christy (Paul) Klikno of Rockford, and Lana (Scott) Mattson of Huntley; sister, Lanita (Gene) Gesie of Dubuque, Iowa; four grandchildren, Brandi (Jeremy) Chudoba-Shiroda, Mindy (Matt) Chudoba-Kopald, T.J. Myelle, and Bethany Myelle; and five great-grandchildren, Aidan, Asher, Archie, Addie, and Ella. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Memorial services will be 12:00 P.M. Tuesday December 5, 2017 at Prairie Dell Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at Prairie Dell.
