Carol Jean (Piefer) Koeller, 84 Forreston - Carol Jean (Piefer) Koeller, 84, Forreston, went to her eternal home on Friday, July 30, 2021 while at Swedish American Hospital, Rockford, IL following a brief illness. Carol was born in Lafayette Township, WI on December 3, 1936 to Melvin and Gladys (Mammoser) Piefer. She married Wayne Koeller on January 28, 1956. He passed away June 21, 2014. She graduated from Warren High School in 1954 and went onto attend Beauty School in Freeport. She was a homemaker for many years, a beautician in their home, and then worked and retired from Micro Switch. She continued to work part-time at Uniquely Yours Quilt Shop, Orangeville, IL. She was a current member of Forreston United Methodist Church, and previous member of Faith United Methodist Church in Freeport. She loved Christmas, having an extensive collection of Santa's, and family get togethers. She had a long time passion for quilting and thoroughly enjoyed giving many quilted items as gifts to family and friends. For many years, she and Wayne enjoyed camping and spending winters in Texas. She is survived by her 5 children: Cynthia Bahr of Forreston, Tamela (Kenneth) Vinnedge of Forreston, Timothy (Brenda) Koeller of Byron, Gary (Jane) Koeller of Forreston ,Sherri (Tom) Seipts of Pecatonica; 12 grandchildren; Christina (Jason) Tillery, Joshua (Jennifer) Vinnedge, Ryan Bahr, Kyle (Lindsay) Vinnedge, Cari (Ben) Modlinger, Justin Koeller, Brittany (Dane) Busker, Kelsey (Travis) Ross, Brian Koeller, Allison (Ben Parlapiano) Seipts, Erin (Adam Holland) Seipts, and Brent Koeller; 14 great-grandchildren, Abigayle (Alex Baumann) ,Emalee ,Victoria, Hayden, Hannah, Beckett, Reid, Delaney, Jaxon, Aubrey, Vander, Joseph, Willa and Owen; 2 step grandchildren, 3 step great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild Zoee; and brother Ronald (Donna) Piefer. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister and brother-in-law, Iola (Lawrence) Cline, brother Wayne Pieper, sister-in-law Charlene Piefer, and son-in-law, Ronald Bahr. The family wants to send a special thank you to FHN, and Swedish American Hospital staff for their excellent care and compassion. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday August 4, 2021 at First United Methodist Church 402 1st Ave, Forreston, IL. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 pm Tuesday, August 3 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home 203 3rd Ave, Forreston, IL and on Wednesday from 9:30 am until the time of the funeral service at the church.
