Carol Ann Youngblut, 83, a former Freeport resident died Wednesday in the home of her daughter in Phoenix, Arizona. She was born June 26, 1928 in Freeport, the daughter of Raymond and Lillian (Langan) Plowman. She married Richard Youngblut on June 28, 1947 in Freeport. He died April 19, 1981. Carol was a former member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Survivors include; three sons; Dave (Mary) Youngblut of Freeport, Daniel Youngblut of Scottsdale, Arizona and Paul (Jeannette) Youngblut of Livingston, California, two daughters; Dixie (Larry) Gantz of Bakersville, North Carolina and Jeanne Youngblut of Phoenix, Arizona, one brother Richard (Judy) Plowman of Simi Valley, California, one sister; Lois McIlvanie of Freeport. Also surviving are three grandchildren Laura, Kyle and Rachel Youngblut. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, and one brother, Robert. Graveside services will be Tuesday, 10:00 A.M. at Calvary Cemetery, Freeport. Msgr. P. William McDonnell will officiate . In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for the Leonard Ferguson Cancer Center in Carol'™s memory. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
