Carol Ann Bookman-Babb

Carol Ann Bookman-Babb (Donnlley) age 81, of Freeport, IL went to heaven on Thursday December 30, 2021. She went peacefully in her sleep at St. Joseph Ascension Living Center. She was born October 10, 1940 to Chuck and Betty Donnelly.She married Robert "Bob" Bookman April 28, 1962. They raised two sons Scott and Brian. He passed away on July 18, 2006. After which she married life-long friend James "Jim" Babb October 24, 2008 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They liked to spend time traveling and enjoying the retirement life. He passed away on March 27, 2021.Some of her hobbies included cooking and bird watching. She loved spending time with family and friends. Friends described her as a force of nature.She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.She was preceded in death by parents Chuck and Betty Donnelly of Freeport, IL. Husbands Robert Bookman of Freeport, IL and James "Jim" Babb of Freeport, IL.Surviving family includes: Sons, Scott (Sherry Hubbard) Bookman of Mt. Carroll, Brian (Tina) Bookman of Freeport, IL. Granddaughters Jennifer (Josh Soto) Bookman of Freeport, IL and Taylor Meyer of Freeport, IL. Grandson Kyle Bookman of Freeport.
