Carlyne Hasse

M. Carlyne Hasse, 84, of Freeport died Saturday at Stephenson Nursing Center. She was born April 7, 1929 in Rockford, Illinois the daughter of August and Lurena (Pratt) Schlensker. On May 27, 1950 she married Leonard 'Bud' Hasse in Loves Park, Illinois. Mrs. Hasse was a member of Bethany United Church of Christ and served on several of the church boards. She was active in Girl Scouts and enjoyed being outdoors. She is survived by her husband, Leonard 'Bud' Hasse of Freeport. Two daughters; Mary Kay (Lloyd) Barker of Lake of The Hills, Illinois and Debra (Craig) Spooner of Jamestown, N.C. Two grandsons; Chris and Matt Spooner. Her sister, Martha (Paul) Clark of Wickenburg, Az. She was preceded in death by two brothers and her sister. A memorial service for Mrs. Hasse will be Friday, 11:00 A.M. in Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home, Freeport. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until time of service.
