Bryant Love

Bryant Love was born November 9, 1946, to the late Mr. Lincoln and Mrs. Willie (Taylor) Love. He departed this earthly life on May 26, 2021, at FHN memorial Hospital surrounded by family and friends. He confessed hope in Christ at an early age at Taylor Chapel in Leverette, MS. He was a dedicated and faithful member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church of Freeport. He served as a trustee, a member of the choir, and the Sunday School Superintendent until his health failed him. Bryant was united in Holy Matrimony to his high school sweetheart of 53 years, Mrs. Willie Marie (Hudson) Love. They were blessed with four children: Eric, Charlotte, LaShawn, and LaShanda. He worked for the city of Freeport for over 20 years and Snak King for 23 years. He enjoyed walking through the neighborhood collecting cans, spreading joy to all he encountered, and sharing wisdom with his grandchildren and all the neighborhood children. He also enjoyed fishing with his special friend, Bubba Shipp, watching sports, helping out at the church when they called, he also enjoyed watching western shows. Bryant leaves to celebrate his life and cherish his memories, his wife, Willie Marie Love; five children: Eric and LaShawn of Rockford, IL, Charlotte Love of Charleston, MS, LaShanda Love of Freeport, IL, and Cynthia (Timothy) Scott of Lynchburg, VA; 19 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; his sister, Leole Love of Carthage, MS; two sisters-in-law, Linda Rhyne and Joyce (Charles) Wright of Freeport, IL; brother-in-law, Walter Brown of Charleston, MS; a host of nieces and nephews; cousins; and 5 special friends: Mama T, Leon Carter, Howard Shirley, Fat Cat, and Deacon Rodgers. He was preceded in death by 5 brothers, 5 sisters, and 1 granddaughter. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday June 5, 2021, at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Rickey Stidmon officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church. Burial will be in Freeport City Cemetery.
