Brendan J. Gift

Brendan James Gift, 48, of Omaha, Nebraska passed away Friday March 22, 2024 in Freeport, Illinois. He was born July 24, 1975 in Freeport to William and Mary (Lydon) Gift. Brendan served in the United States Marine Corps from 1997-2001 as an Intelligence Specialist and had achieved two Masters degrees. In his free time, Brendan enjoyed ping-pong, tennis, reading, and spending time with friends and family. His presence was always enjoyed because of his candor and sense of humor. Brendan was an amazing brother and son; he will be forever missed.

He is survived by his father William Gift of Freeport, Illinois; brother Kegan Gift of Denver, Colorado; and many aunts, uncles; and cousins.

Preceding Brendan in death is his mother Mary “Colleen” Gift.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Burial of cremated remains will be at Silent Hill Cemetery in McConnell, IL. A memorial has been established in Brendan’s memory.
