Brenda Niesman

Brenda L. Niesman, 65, of Freeport, IL passed away Thursday November 9, 2023 in her home. She was born July 10, 1958 in Salamanca, New York to Roger “Pete” W. and Helen C. (Case) Jensen. On October 25, 1996 she married the love of her life, Frederick “Fred” Niesman in Freeport. Fred passed away July 8, 2003. Brenda enjoyed reading and spent many hours at the local library. She was known as a book worm by her sons. Brenda also enjoyed fishing with her family and took many trips “Up North” to spend time on Nelson Lake in Hayward, WI. She loved coffee and time spent with her friends at the local coffee spots all around town. She could often be spotted making her rounds with the coffee pot to fil everyone up! The outdoors were another love of Brenda’s as she truly enjoyed watching the birds and squirrels banter over the seeds from the bird feeders, in her backyard.

She is survived by her father Pete Jensen of Georgia; two sons Josh (Jaime) Westphal of Freeport and August (Alicia) Hohl of West Bend, WI; sister Penny Jensen of Vermont; and four grandchildren Kyler Fuchs, Brady Fuchs, August Hohl, and Aiden Westphal.

Preceding Brenda in death is her mother.

Private family services will be held. Burial of cremated remains will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established in Brenda’s memory.
