Bradley "Brad" L. Meiers

Bradley “Brad” L. Meiers, 64, of Freeport passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at FHN Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family.

Brad was born on December 22, 1958 in Freeport the son of Homer and Katherine (Bendick) Meiers, Jr. He worked at FHN Memorial Hospital in the printing department for 27 years and then worked at Wal-Mart for 17 years. Brad was a member at First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed attending Farm Toy Shows, collecting antiques, going to flea markets and helping his parents.

Brad is survived by his parents Homer and Katherine Meiers, Jr; two sisters, Debbie (Ken) Long of Freeport, Marcia (Dave) Huff of Forreston; three nephews, Eric Long, Jason Long, Ryan Lee; two nieces, Sarah Long, Heather Lee; two great nieces and one great nephew.

Visitation will be 9:00am until time of the funeral service at 11:00am on Friday, May 12, 2023 at First United Methodist Church in Freeport with Reverend NaTarsha Gardner, officiating. Cremation Rites will follow the services. Burial of Cremated Remains will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens at a later date.
