Beverly June Hayunga

Beverly June Hayunga, 78, formerly of Forreston and Freeport, passed away, Monday December 30, 2024, at Cedar Crest, Janesville, Wisconsin. Beverly was born June 7, 1946, in Freeport, Illinois, the daughter of Henry and Gertrude (Ruter) Bornemeier. She married Virgil Hayunga on June 10, 1964, in Forreston. Mr. Hayunga passed away July 5, 2023. She worked for Crum and Forster Insurance and Black Dot Printing Company. Beverly enjoyed reading, working on crafts, and following the Chicago Cubs.

Surviving is three sons Terry (Tina) Hayunga of Winona, MN, Tom (Joey) Hayunga of Freeport, IL, and Tim (Gina) Hayunga of Roscoe, IL; sisters, Doris Pittsley, Joann (Lyle) Coffman and Nylia (Darrel) Swalve; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Preceding Beverly in death are her parents, husband, three sisters, Betty Hepler, Sally Fager, and Linda Brinkman; and granddaughter Bridgett Johnson.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday January 3, 2025, at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. Pastor Gavin Brandt will officiate. A visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established in Beverly’s memory.
