Beverly E. Woessner

Beverly E. Woessner, 84, of Freeport, died Wednesday August 10, 2016 at UW-Madison Hospital. Beverly was born May 5, 1932 in Rockford, Illinois the daughter of William and Ellen (Johnson) Monson. She married Wendell Woessner in Shannon, Illinois in 1952. Mr. Woessner died on August 8, 1995. Beverly worked for Dr. Everett Zinser and also operated her own home decorating business. She was a member of Park Hills Evangelical Free Church. Beverly was also a past member of the Grand Chapter of Eastern Star in Freeport. Surviving are her son, Gregg (Cathy) Woessner of Morton, IL.; daughter, Wendy (Dan) Johnson of Freeport; seven grandchildren, Joshua (Louisa) Mahoney, Megan (Brian) Karner, Braydon Mahoney, Ryan and Tyler Woessner, and Karen and Matthew Summy; and two great-grandchildren, Colt Karner, Elta Mahoney, and baby to be, Mae. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, William Woessner Jr. Memorial services will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday August 13, 2016 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. until the time of service. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens at a later date. Memorials can be made out to Park Hills Evangelical Church.
