Betty Jean Monigold

Betty Jean Monigold, 87, of Freeport, died Thursday September 1, 2011 at FHN Memorial Hospital. Betty was born June 18, 1924 in Jo Daviess County the daughter of N. Carson and Ruby R. (Redfern) Kish. Betty married Carl G. Monigold on February 20, 1946 in Freeport. Carl died July 6, 1998. Betty was a homemaker. She was also attended First Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading sewing, cooking, doing needle work and flowers. Betty'™s family was important to her. Survivors include; eight sons; Bill (Kelly) Monigold of Freeport, Michael (Vicki) Monigold of Cedarville, Timothy (Melinda) Monigold of White Bear Lake, Minnesota, Ted (Sandy) Monigold of North Carolina, Jeff (Rose) Monigold of Freeport, Andrew (Wendy) Monigold of Milwaukee, Wisconsin Matthew Monigold of Freeport and Daniel (Lisa) Monigold of Lanark, two daughters; Becky (Gary) Keech of Cedarville and Wendy (David) Nienhuis of Forreston, one brother; Roger (Kay) Kish of Montana. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, husband, one brother, one sister and one granddaughter. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday September 5, 2011 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. Visitation will be Monday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
