Betty J. Tucker

Betty J. Tucker, 83, of Freeport, died Friday, August 28, 2015 at the Stephenson Nursing Center. Betty was born on April 22, 1932 in Freeport, the daughter of Charles and Margaret (Penticoff) Gaulrapp. Betty married Elmer R. Tucker on March 29, 1952 in Freeport. Mr. Tucker passed away on June 11, 2002. She worked for Burgess Battery and the Holiday Inn. Betty was a member of the First Church of Nazarene. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family members. Surviving are her son, Elmer R. Tucker Jr. of Freeport; daughter, Kathleen Castle of Freeport; 4 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, and seven sisters. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Monday August 31, 2015 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. Pastor Brian Eatock will officiate. Visitation will be Sunday 1:00 P.M. - 3:00 P.M.
