Betty J. Landgraf of Freeport died Friday May 6, 2011 at manor Court of Freeport. She was born March 7, 1920 in Freeport, Il, the daughter of Arthur and Helen (Wieneke) Cremer. Betty was a 1937 graduate of Aquin High School. She was employed as a secretary for the Illinois central Railroad for 26 years, retiring in 1982. She was an active member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, a charter member of Provena St. Joseph Auxiliary and a longtime member of 'Ladies of the Club.' Survivors include three sisters: Eileen Peck of Wild Rose, WI; Peggy (Chuck) Billerbeck of Columbus, OH; and Joy (Ron) Partyka of Valparaiso, IN; five brothers: Paul (Ann) Cremer of Des Moines, IA; Chuck (Fran) Cremer of Freeport, Il; Gene (Barb) Cremer of Starke, FL; Bill (Mary) Cremer of Scottsdale, AZ; and Larry (Helen) Cremer of Dubuque, IA; many nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, an infant brother and sister, sister Leone and brother-in-law Harry Weber, brother-in-law Lionel Peck, stepmother Louise Schuller, and special aunt Clara Wienke. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday May 11, 2011 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church with Msgr. P. William McDonnell officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
