Betty J. Hartman, 79, of Freeport, died Saturday March 31, 2018 in her home. Betty was born August 1, 1938 in Butler, Alabama, the daughter of James and LouElla (Todd) Williamson. Betty was married to Ronald Garwick for 16 years and together they brought four beloved children in to this world. She then married Patrick Hartman. She worked at Micro for 28 years. She was a member of Freeport Ladies Eagles Auxiliary #679 and Brush Creek Golf Course. She enjoyed golfing, sewing, snowmobiling, throwing darts, spending time in her garden working on her flowers, and most of all being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Betty was a very gifted dressmaker/seamstress, making all three of her daughters wedding dresses and even some clothing for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving are her husband, Patrick Hartman of Freeport; son, Mark (Kathy) Garwick of Madison, Wisconsin; three daughters, Cheryl (Brad) Krogull of Burlington, IA., Julie Sommer of Wickenburg, AZ., and Rhonda (Randy) Ammann of Monroe, WI.; two brothers, Frank (Barb) Williamson and Bobby Joe Williamson both of Michigan; two sisters, Diane Keowan and Grace (Bill) Rushing both of Michigan. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law, Bert Sommer; special companion, Ted Peters; two sisters and four brothers. Memorial services will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday April 7, 2018 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. Rev. William Blomberg will officiate. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
