Betty I. Remmers

Betty I. Remmers, 97, of Freeport, IL passed away Tuesday October 27, 2020 at The Parc at Joliet. She was born October 26, 1923 in Mt. Carrol, IL to Walter and Ethel (Kantlehner) Busch. On October 9, 1943 she married Wilbur G. Remmers in Loran, IL. Wilbur passed away January 25, 1998. Betty was employed at Burgess Battery for many years. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Freeport. She is survived by her son Brian (Nanette) Remmers of Machesney Park, IL; sister Iona (Donald) Keister of Florida; grand-daughter Nicole (David) Tortoricci and great-grandson Jacob. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and three sister. Private family services will be held. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established in her memory.
