Betty Ann Ludwig

Betty Ann Ludwig, 91, of Forreston, died Monday, July 22, 2019 at Manor Court, Freeport. Betty was born November 27, 1927 in Ogle County, Illinois, the daughter of John W. and Mary (Mutinga) Bocker. She married Donald C. Ludwig December 4, 1946 in Forreston. Mr. Ludwig passed away August 11, 2010. Along with her husband, Donald, they were lifelong Ogle County famers. Betty was a member of Forreston Reformed Church. She enjoyed garage sales, collecting toys, playing "42" and attending her grandchildren and great-grandchildren's sporting and school events. Surviving are her three sons, Greg (Shirley) Ludwig of Freeport, Gary (Connie Kaiser, friend) Ludwig of Forreston, and Jon (Renee) Ludwig of Forreston; nine grandchildren, Maida, Carrie, Christian, Wesley, Sam, Dan, Jered, Nick and Alex; also surviving are fourteen great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Beverly, and daughter-in-law, Diana Ludwig. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday July 29, 2019 at Forreston Reformed Church. Rev. Lyle Zumdahl will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will be in West Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Betty's memory.
