Ben Alex Lee Sr.

Ben A. Lee Sr, of Freeport passed away Jan 8th, 2022, at home, Ben was born March 22nd, 1926 to Benjamin Alexander and Harriett McClain Lee of Lakeland FL. Ben became an Air Force Flight Engineer in WWII and went on to graduate from the University of Florida in 1949. He was active in church, American Legion of Warren IL and Scottish Rites Freemasonry in Freeport. He was the owner of the Mobil Stations on W. Galena and Lees Auto Repair and shared this knowledge, teaching the Powder Puff Mechanics classes at Highland Community College in Freeport. He also drove the Senior Citizen Bus for several years after he retired. Ben was always one to stay busy and enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and motorcycle riding.Surviving is Son: Kurt A.
