Belva M. Schulz, 85, of Dakota, passed away, Thursday, June 16, 2022, at FHN Memorial Hospital. Belva was born October 5, 1936, in Forreston, the daughter of Arthur and Florence (Hayenga) Schoonhoven. Belva married Delmar Schulz on September 23, 1956, in Orangeville. She was a member of Cedarville Emmanuel Church and Stephenson County Home Extension. Belva was a Stephenson County Fair Home Economics Building Superintendent. She was also a bus driver for Orangeville School District. Surviving is her husband Delmar Schulz of Dakota; son, Randy (Sandi) Schulz of Shell Knob, MO, daughters, Rhonda Kasten of German Valley and Wendy (Tom) Dietmeier of Orangeville; sister, Florene Stultz of Allegan, MI; ten grandchildren, Tyler (Charlotte) Schulz, Kyle Schulz, Alyssa Schulz, Chris Kukla, Alex (Kyle) Moser, Cassie Kukla, Lani (Anna) Kasten-Coffman, Hanna Kasten, Cory Dietmeier, and Dylan Dietmeier; also surviving are two great grandchildren, Evelyn Moser and Jack Schulz. Mrs. Schulz was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Genevieve Stewart and Juanita Harris; brother, Doug Schoonhoven and sister-in-law, Lois (Claire) Wichmann. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday June 20, 2022, at Cedarville Emmanuel Church. Rev. Craig Conner will officiate. Visitation 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Sunday June 19, 2022, also at Cedarville Emmanuel Church. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established in Mrs. Schulz's memory.
