Barbara E. Camp

Barbara E. Camp, 87, of Freeport, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday February 8, 2018 at FHN Memorial Hospital. She was born January 6, 1931 in Stockton, IL, the daughter of Lloyd and Florence (Schmidt) Belk. She married Roger Wagner in 1957; he died July 7, 1990; she married Howard Camp in 1967; he died September 27, 2003. Barbara worked at Micro-Switch, real estate and development, and owned and operated Floor To Ceiling in Freeport with her sons, Doug and Mike. She attended Harrington Institute of Interior Design in Chicago. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed spending time with family at Lake Carroll and vacationing at her homes in Lake of the Ozarks and Naples, Florida. Her family and friends were especially important to her. Barbara is survived by her two sons Mike (Kathy) Wagner and Doug (friend Galya) Wagner of Freeport, Il; two sisters Elaine Schlichting of Stockton, Il and LaVonne Blair of Lanark, IL; five grandchildren Michelle (James) Bateman of Bloomington, IL, Tyler (Brooke) Wagner of Windsor, CO, Morgan Wagner of Chicago, IL, Mackenzie Wagner of Chicago, IL and Madison Wagner of Freeport, IL; four great-grandchildren Brock, Eva, Dylan, and Norah; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, and one sister. Funeral services will be 11:00 Monday February 12, 2018 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Freeport. Visitation will be from 1-4:00 P.M. at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in her memory.
