Barbara A. Stukenberg, 72, of Forreston, died Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at home. Born on September 30, 1938 in Freeport, the daughter of Clarence and Geneva (Milverstead) Plum. She married Marsdon Stukenberg on November 1, 1958. Barbara and her husband farmed the family farm since 1958. She was a member of Forreston First United Methodist Church. Family was very important to Barbara, especially her grandchildren. Barbara enjoyed knitting, reading, bingo and crocheting. Survivors include her husband Marsdon of Forreston; two sons, Randy Stukenberg of Forreston and Michael (Colleen) Stukenberg of Forreston; one sister, Sally Grove of Lanark; five grandchildren, Matthew (Maureen) Stukenberg of Aurora, Jacob Stukenberg of Shullsburg, WI., Anna Stukenberg of Shullsburg, WI., Ryan Stukenberg of Forreston and Nathan Stukenberg of Forreston; two great grandchildren Piper and Pax Stukenberg of Aurora; many nieces and nephews and her dog Muffin. Preceded in death by her parents, one brother, James Plum and her twin sister Beverly Penticoff. Funeral Services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday August 20, 2011 at First United Methodist Church with Rev James Stralow officiating. Visitation will be Friday 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home in Forreston.
