Avis P. Hagemann

Avis P. Hagemann, 79, of Galena, formerly of Freeport, died Sunday December 21, 2014 at Galena-Stauss Senior Care Community in Galena, IL. She was born March 3, 1935 in Blanchardville, WI, the daughter of Peter and Alma (Tollickson) Rude. She married Wayne Hagemann August 5, 1961; he died October 13, 2001. Avis worked at Micro-Switch for over 30 years. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, and the dog track. Avis is survived by two daughters Sally (Donald) Wescott of Canton , OH and Cindy (Bill Richardson) Koester of Shullsburg, WI; two brothers Richard Rude of Wisconsin and George (Sally) Rude of Iowa; three grandchildren Rayna, Heath, and Kristen; and a great-grandchild Miriam. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, and three sisters. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday December 23, 2014 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. Visitation will be held from noon until the time of service. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established in her memory.
