Avance Addison

Avance Addison, 89, of Freeport, died Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Presence St. Joseph Center. Avance was born on September 17, 1926 in New Orleans, Louisiana the son of Charles and Lela (Williams) Addison. Avance married Betty Manning March 7, 1994, Mrs. Manning passed away on July 11, 2003. Avance was a long time employee of Club Esquire. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and member of Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church. Surviving are son, Robert Addison of Freeport; daughter, Pamela (Keith) Irving; 15 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Avance was preceded in death by his wife and daughter, Grace Watkins. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday November 27, 2015 at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Charles Threadgill will officiate. Visitation will be from noon until the time of service.
