Ardell G. Watry, 84, of Forreston died Saturday, September 8, 2012, at Pinecrest Manor Nursing Center, Mt. Morris. Ardell was born on September 25, 1927 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, the son of Frank and Freda (Hentz) Watry. He served in World War II for the U.S. Army in the South Pacific Theatre. On October 9, 1948, Ardell married Barbara Harris in Forreston, IL. He worked at Kable Printing-Quebcor for over 45 years retiring as a supervisor. Ardell enjoyed spending his time fishing, hunting and teasing all of his grandchildren. Surviving are his wife; Barbara Watry of Forreston, two sons; Ardell (Urai) Watry Jr. of Shannon and David (Pam) Watry of Forreston, three daughters; Linda (Terry) Klipping of Mt. Morris, Wanda (Richard) Stocker of Forreston, Collette (Robert) Vick of Browntown, WI. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Ardell was preceded in death by his parents, daughter; Vickie Weegens, two sisters, one brother, one granddaughter and three great-grandchildren. Memorial services for Mr.Watry will be 1:30P.M. Wednesday September 12, at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home in Forreston, Rev. William Heck will officiate. Visitation will be from noon until the time of service.
