Anthony W. Burrell

Anthony Wayne Burrell, 66, transitioned from his earthly body on June 23, 2019. Anthony was born July 17, 1952 in High Point, North Carolina. God was his source and his salvation. He began his life in Christ, when he was called into the body of Christ by Rev. Bishop Collins. After starting his life in Christ in Freeport, Illinois, he had the call to start his Men's Ministry which has led to over 30 men into the body of Christ. Anthony was primarily raised in High Point and attended High Point public schools. Friendships were easy for Anthony and long lasting. He was self employed and worked diligently in both construction and maintenance. Whenever you met him he greeted you with the love of God, and wanted his words of love and encouragement to give you peace and joy. Anthony leaves to cherish his memories and his life with sons, Travis C. Burrell (Sherika), Anthony Dwayne Burrell, Rodney Matthew Burrell; sisters, Dianne Sator, Marcellette B. McKinney (Larry), Renee B. Torrence (Eddie), Kim B. Walls (Jerry), Darlene B. Jackson (John); brother, Willie James Burrell (Ethel); uncle, Sam Burrell; aunt, Mary Helen Bryant; He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. James Burrell and Mrs. Annie Burrell Hardy Young; and son, Anthony "Tony" Wayne Burrell. Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday July 6, 2019 at Faith Center, Freeport. Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at Faith Center. Burial will be in City Cemetery.
