Anna Elsie Bonebright

Anna Elsie Bonebright, 92, of Freeport, died Sunday, May 22, 2011 at the Stephenson Nursing Center. Anna was born April 10, 1919 in Freeport, the daughter of Elmer and Belinda (Dammann) Nesemeyer. She married Lester R. Bonebright on December 16, 1943 in the Florence U.M. Church. He preceded her in death on January 5, 2002. Anna was employed by Burgess Battery Co. for 41 years, retiring in 1984. She was an active member of the Florence Church and Missionary society, Lena American Legion Auxiliary, Disabled Veterans Auxiliary, The Jo Daviess-Stephenson 8 & 40, Salon #546. She also helped out at the Stephenson Senior Center. Survivors include two brothers; Paul Nesemeyer of Baileyville and Floyd Nesemeyer of Freeport, two sisters; Ruth Baker of Dixon and Mary Jane Theviot of Ocala, Florida, nieces and nephews; Diane (Rich) Johnson, Debra Schopf, Gary (Carol) Nesemeyer all of Freeport and Nancy (Randy) TerHark of Ridott. Ronald (Jane) Nesemeyer of Kansas City, Roger Nesemeyer of Rockford, Carol (John) Red of Dixon, Cathy (Rich) Allers of Bourbonnais, Michelle (Dennis) Wilmarth of Tampa, Florida, Joanne (Jim) Danner of Chetek, Wisconsin, Ed Bonebright of Clinton, Wisconsin, LaVerne Bonebright of Montello, Wisconsin, Gene (Marci) Bonebright of El Cajon, California, and Janet (Ron) Livesay of Hemet, California. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday May 25, 2011 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport with Pastor Rodney Caldwell officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at Burke Tubbs. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established in her memory.
