Angeline L. Pomlee

Angeline Luretha Pomlee, 79, of Freeport, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Presence St. Joseph Home. Angeline was born on March 16, 1936 in Mt. Enterprise, Texas, the daughter of Dudley and Jeanette (Williams) McCaney. Angeline was a long time employee at Food Bonanza. She was a member of Faith Temple Church of God In Christ. Angeline was an avid Bingo player. Surviving are three daughters, Frankie Pomlee and Marcia Pomlee of Freeport and Sonja Davis of Haughton, LA.; brother, Randolph Craig of Shreveport, LA.; five grandchildren, Amber, Demetra, Jena, Makaliah, and Ryan. Also surviving are 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joe W. Pomlee; four sisters, Annette, Peggy, Polly and Viola; three brothers, Norman, Charles, and Carlos; and one grandson, Joseph. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday August 10, 2015 at Faith Temple COGIC. Rev. Lynn Hawkins will officiate. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at the Church. Burial will be in City Cemetery.
