Andrian Christine (Pugh) Allen age 61
Andrian was the second child born to the union of Ellis and Kay (Taylor) Pugh, on May 12th, 1963 in Freeport, Illinois. Andrian accepted Christ at an early age. Andrian worshipped at St Martin Missionary Baptist Church, under Pastor Darnell Thomas, Banner of Truth Family Church, Rockford, Il, under Pastor Phillip Williams and recently settled at Faith Center, Freeport, under Apostle Michael and Pastor Susie Sowell.
Andrian received her education at Freeport Catholics Schools graduating from Aquin Catholic High School. During her Jr and Sr years of high school she attended Stephenson Area Career Center (SACC) where she studied cosmetology. She later attended Highland Community College where she received her certificate in food service and sanitation.
Andrian started working at a young age and worked until the time of her illness. Andrian was able to retire from the Freeport School District after being a cook for 22 years. Andrian loved children, cooking and baking, so she was right where she wanted to be with the school district, making sure that the children were well fed.
Andrian started cooking in her parents and grand-parents kitchen and learned many old family recipes that she cooked until she wasn’t able to cook anymore. She also taught her son many of those recipe’s and many of her secret recipes for her many varieties of pond cakes and cheesecakes.
Andrian raised 9 foster-children and she treated each one as if they were her own. She made sure that they went to Church each Sunday and learned the word of God. She made sure they enjoyed all youth church functions.
Following the birth of her son, she made sure that he got the chance to experience all of those same things while teaching him the Goodness of God. She made sure that her son knew to always make God the center of his life.
Andrian spent a lot of time in prayer, nothing was too big or small to take to the Lord. She even asked God to give her son the perfect name. She gave him the name Isaiah “Salvation of the Lord”, Ellis “The Lord is my God”.
Andrian, was a strong believer in Christ and would share the word of God to anyone that was willing to listen. God was surely the center of her life and she had a beautiful testimony to share.
Andrian also enjoyed Bingo, games on her phone, slots, visiting her friends and family.
Andrian leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Isaiah (Hannah) Baker of Loves Park, Il. One grandson, Maverick Baker of Loves Park, Il.
