Andrea Heather Kelsey

Andrea Heather Kelsey, age 53, died after a long illness on September 12, 2022, in German Valley, Illinois. She is survived by her children, Spencer (Destiny) Kelsey of Byron Illinois and Evan Kelsey of Lexington Kentucky, her parents Gene and Terry Fox, and her grandmother Shirley Russell. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Chris and Maude Fox and maternal grandfather, Harry Russell. Andrea was born on March 23, 1969 in Rockford Illinois. She graduated from Auburn High School 1987 and Black Hawk College, Moline, Illinois 1997 with a degree in nursing. She moved to German Valley Illinois and worked for more than 15 years as a labor and delivery nurse with Rockford Memorial Hospital. She also worked as a nurse for Crusader Clinic. Member of Silver Creek Reformed Church and member of German Valley Lions Club. Andrea enjoyed sitting out on her deck watching the birds and feeding the chipmunks. Andrea was a loving mother who cherished her children above all else and was their biggest cheerleader. She was so proud of her boys and would engage everyone she met into a conversation about them and her daughter in law Destiny. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Silver Creek Reformed Church, German Valley, IL A special thanks to the amazing ICU staff at Freeport Hospital. Memorial services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday September 15, 2022 at Silver Creek Reformed Church 326 Bunker Hill Road, German Valley, IL. A visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. A luncheon will follow at the church.
