Allison Rene Prehn

Allison Rene Prehn, 36, passed away peacefully in her home on June 20, 2018. Allison was born July 20th, 1981 in Rockford, Illinois to Jananne "J.R." Schaffner and Peter Prehn. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 2000. She was employed by Inertia Machine Co. In 2001, she welcomed her son, Connor Robert Shoemaker. Above all else, her proudest accomplishment was being a mom to Connor. She enjoyed attending Connor's athletic events and welcomed the company of close friends and family. Allison was faithful in keeping up with world news and current events. She loved to have vigorous debates with anyone brave enough to engage her in conversation. She is survived by her only son Connor; older siblings, Daniel and Aimee, mother Jananne "J.R." Schafner and step-father Steve Fritz; her father, Peter Prehn; and her paternal grandparents, Tony and Carol Fritz of Cuba City, WI She was preceded in death by her grandparents. Funeral Services will be3:00 P.M. Sunday June 24, 2018 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home, 504 N. Walnut Avenue, Freeport, IL. Visitation will be from 1:00 until the time of service also at Burke-Tubbs. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in her name.
