Allen W Fager

Allen W. Fager, 58, of Forreston, passed away Sunday May 22, 2011 at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport after a sudden illness. Allen was born on July 31, 1952 in Dixon, Illinois the son of Gerald and Rosalyn (Hirsbrunner) Fager. On July 18, 1986 Allen married Sally Bornemeier. Allen worked on the family farm and was also a truck driver. He was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church and was a Forreston High School graduate in 1970. He enjoyed playing fast pitch softball, watching baseball, and going fishing, hunting, bowling. Allen was a Chicago Bear fan and his grandkids were an extremely important part of his life. Survivors include his wife; Sally Fager of Forreston, mother; Rosalyn 'Rosie' Fager, son; Jeremy (Rhonda) Fager of Oregon, Illinois, one daughter; Michelle (Anthony) Rogers of Chana, Illinois, stepson; Mark (Lori) DeVries, of Forreston, three stepdaughters; Gwen (Brian) Weidman of Dixon, Illinois, Jill DeVries of Forreston and Amy (Scott) Campbell of Forreston, two brothers; Jim (Judy) Fager of Byron and Sam Fager of Forreston, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Also surviving are two grandchildren; Braden Rogers and Ida Mae Fager and 11 step grandkids; Dane, Derek, Haley, Kody, Angela, Justin, Erin, Dakotah, Peyton, Alyssa and Abby and one great step granddaughter Ryleigh. Preceded in death by his father and nephew Jake. Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. Susie M. Hill officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday 3:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home in Forreston. There will also be a visitation from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service Thursday at Faith Evangelical.
