Alex Bear

Alex Bear, 39, of Freeport, passed away Saturday June 2, 2018. He was born August 29, 1978 in Elk Grove Village, IL, the son of Jimmie and Julia (Scace) Bear. Alex loved hunting and fishing. He was an Eagle Scout in Oregon Illinois. There wasn't a job out there that Alex didn't know how to do; carpentry, roofing, mechanical work, heating and air conditioning, surveyor, landscaper and most recently a Tire Builder at Titan Tire Corporation. Alex had a heart of gold, at the drop of a hat, he and would help anyone! He had countless friends and was always smiling. May he be at peace. Alex LOVED his children and was a loving father to four children and two step children. Ethan and Natalie (Mother - Melissa Tregloan), Peyton (Mother - Lannea Bear) Jaxon, Devin and Jordan (Mother/fiance Cindy Castle). Also surviving is his father, Jimmie R. Bear; sister, Lori (James McGuire); brother, Jimmie (Amy Beyer) and Barbara (Andrew Loska); also many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews all of whom loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his mother, Julia Elizabeth Bear and in loving guidance Eugene J. Bradbury. Memorial services will be noon Saturday June 9, 2018 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. Visitation will be from 10:30 A.M. until the time of service also at Burke-Tubbs. A memorial has been established in his memory.
